A Picture of Britain The Romantic North

Tonight saw the launch of BBC television’s latest documentary series A Picture of Britain.
If you life in the United Kingdom it is a must see TV programme.
And if you live elsewhere, it is sure to be shown all over the world, so keep an eye out for it.
The first programme was devoted to The Romantic North and featured The Lake District, Northumberland and Yorkshire.
To tie in with the programme, each Sunday evening, after the programme, I am going to select an image, which you have never seen before on FreeFoto.com but is inspired by the programme.
This picture of Ullswater was taken back in February 2005 and is one of over 10,000 images waiting to be added to the site. The process of captioning and editing the images is much more time consuming than just travelling and taking them.
The image captures something of the dramatic Lake District landscape.
