Tortoiseshell Butterfly

I have been planning to take this picture of some lavender for about 8 months now. Last September I discovered a round-a-bout / rotary near Gateshead on the A194. The local council had planet the middle of the round-a-bout with rows of lavender. So I just had to wait for the lavender to come out again this year. If you did not know my secret this picture could have been taken anywhere. The picture of the Tortoiseshell Butterfly was an added bonus.
